I am using Outlook 2003 with WIN XP Professional and I find that an
attachment of 96K (MS Word .doc file) is being zipped automatically every
time I send it out.

How can I turn this off as several people that I routinely send this to
can't receive zipped files?

Do you have Quick View Plus installed? If yes, then look into its options to turn this off.
