Just installed power point and downloaded many updates
from your web site. Why would I, two days later, recieve
an automatic update for a security issue dated April/2003?

Some updates are only applicable in certain circumstances. Unless your system met the criteria, it wouldn't have been downloaded. Which update, specifically?
