Automatic Updates - Notification

Using WinXP SP2. I have my automatic updates set to "notify me but don't
automatically download or install updates." However, I never receive any
notifications, even when critical and other updates have been issued. Is
there another setting that needs to be adjusted for these notifications to
be received? Might I be blocking the process with my ZA firewall or
otherwise? What should I do to begin receiving the notifications? Thank
you for any help that may be offered. Sansid

Hi,

Open ZA's settings and see if it is blocking the WU client.

Thanks for your reply. There is no reference to the Windows Update client
in the ZA program control list. In any event, all programs on the list are
set to 'allow' or 'ask' for access. Sanford

Thank you for your reply, Fermu. Yes, I am operating with administrator
privileges. And, yes, the three Windows Update core services referred to in
your help page are properly set. Sanford
