Automatic Update

One of the recent Windows updates to my Vista Home Premium is causing a
siginificant slowdown in my version of Internet Explorer. I have turned off
automatic update, but it still updates on its own. How can I force it to
always ask me if I want to download and/or install a Windows update?

Thanks

Once you make the setting to 'ask me' before installing updates, you get to
review the waiting updates and rightclick any update you don't want, and
choose to 'disable' that one.
