If you have a GPO setup to automatically install updates without user
interaction, will it still install IE7? From what I've seen, you need
user interaction to install IE7 correct?

Look at this article:

You issue isn't directly related to this newsgroup - for further
questions and information you might want to consult the appropriate
newsgroup

Thanks for the link.

I was also wondering about users getting other updates if IE7 doesn't
install because they don't have local administrator permissions?

What group should I post GPO questions in?

The users will get other updates no matter whether Internet Explorer 7
is installed or not. The installation is just "placed back" until a user
with administrative rights logs on and installs it.

Well, this is exactly the right place to ask Group Policy questions. I
was thinking you were more into WSUS or Windows Updates information.
Sorry for that.
