Automatic Sorting of Favorites

Suddenly my favorites stopped being sorted when a new one
is added. I know how to manually sort them by opening the
menu and clicking on any entry and then sort by name.
This works fine, but does not help the automatic sorting.
This automatic soting ceased in the past week or so. Any
ideas?
