Hi,

I wish to create an automatic SLIDE-SHOW with self-timer, so the user clicks
only once on custom "start" button...

Would this be possible using FP 2003?

Thanks.

FP doesn't have a built in feature to do this. Take a look at JAlbum (free).
JAlbum will do this, and you can Import the JAlbum created slide show into a
FP website.

I created a slide show in JAlbum but I can't get it into Front Page. The
JAlbum website said all I have to due is add this code:
<iframe src="album/index.html" width="512" height="370">
Please use a browser that supports iframes
</iframe>

When I go to preview, I get a message stating that the page can not be
displayed.
I'm not up on all of this coding stuff, so am I doing something really dumb
or what??

Did you add this code into the Code or HTML view?
If not then try it

Did you use Preview in Browser ?
If using Preview in Browser still doesn't work
Is the message what is coded above .i.e "Please use a browser that
supports iframes"?
If so, then the code won't work in your browser.
If not, what is it ?

Has the code generated by JAlbum been placed in "album/index.html"
If not, where is it ?

I added this code in code view. I don't know the answer to your last
question. I did a search and apparently there is no file entitle
album/index.html.
What initially seemed so easy to do is a bit confusing to me.

Good that's step 1

I assume that the error message appears when you use "Preview in Browser"
and that it is not "Please use a browser that supports iframes"

So the basic problem now seems to be that there is no file named
"album/index.html"

I tried pasting this code into an HTML file
<iframe src="album/index.html" width="512" height="370">
Please use a browser that supports iframes
</iframe>
where the file "album/index.html" does *not* exist.

What I got was an empty frame, not any error rmessage, so where is it coming
from ?
(This is really a rhetorical question, but if you can throw some light, then
it will help)

The questions I ask now are:
1. Where does JAlbum write its generated code?
(I could try to make an album myself to find out, but if you know then it
will save some time)
2. Is the code excutable HTML?
(This is a question that can only be answered by seeing the code - either I
create some or you post it back here when you find it)

If the code is excutable HTML, then the instructions are 100% correct - I
retested the code above on my home page with a gallery that does exist, and
it worked. (The gallery was not generated by JAlbum, but the principle is
the same.)

So yes, given that JAlbum does the right thing, it should be easy to install
the album.

Hoping that you can help on 1. and 2. above
