automatic sign off

I have windows messenger 5.0. It signs me off
automatically saying that i am signing in some where
else which is impossible, HELP, very annoying, happens
when i'm in the middle of using it

Greetings Michael,

Could it be possible that you've signed in somewhere else and saved your password (it does
turn on by default)?

If so, you might just change your password (you might even want to do this even if you
haven't signed in anywhere, just to make sure that someone is trying to "guess" into your
account or something similar). You can do so here:
https://memberservices.passport.net/...V_ChangePW.srf

Also, if you have MSN Messenger 5 or 6 installed, it may also be signing you in and you may
want to shut it down or completely remove it from Add or Remove Programs in the Control
Panel.

I have the same problem, I did change my password but keep signing off we
the message that I sing in somewhere else.
