My computer wouldn't boot after loading SP2 due to a
conflict with a firewall loaded on my computer. I
restored and for some reason my computer will not shut
down automaticly anymore, it tells me it's safe to
shutdown. I know it's a small thing but it sure was
nice, any ideals on how to set this up again?

You may need to check the Advanced Power Management (APM)
settings in control panel. Click start, control panel,
performance and maintainence, Power Options,
click 'advanced tab', check the box for APM support.
