My computer seems to shut down automatically every time I run NAV system scan
which is scheduled every Friday at 5:30 pm. Worse, it doesn't restart and I
get no error message to indicate what the problem is. I don't know at what
point is shuts down, but it does complete the scan because it is logged as
perfomed. I am running Windows XP Home SP2 and SystemWorks 2004 Pro.

First uninstall systemworks to see if the pc shuts down without ant help
from norton's. If the machine behaves as it should do and you have no
unexpected shutdowns then, as usual, nortons is to blame.
Personally speaking Norton's software causes more trouble than it solves. If
yuo want an antivirus applciation download the free version of avg anti
virus and install that http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
