I can only retrieve my mail at start up. I can't get mail when I click on
Send/Receive or automatically. I only get an error message when I click on
Send/Receive...no other time. It says that an error has occured and to check
the details below...but there is nothing below.

Any suggestions/help?

I tried Windows Live Mail, but when I open the e-mail box it is still Windows
Mail with no change.

There should have been a clear difference between Windows Mail
and Windows Live Mail. What is the name of the shortcut you are
clicking on?

You should not have installed Messenger, unless you have a definite
need for it. Do this: Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, click
on Windows Live Essentials, then select Uninstall. Uninstall Messenger.
Then look in your Downloads to see if you still have wlsetup-web.exe.
If you have it, run it, otherwise download from
http://download.live.com/wlmail
Be sure to select the Mail module when installing.
