when my computer is idle for approx 15 mins or so it is
automatically bringing me to the blank blue screen as if
I had asked to restart...in the middle of the screen is
an icon prompting to click to restart (# of programs
running) and bottom left has icon to turn off computer...

if I click the button to restart it brings me back to my
desktop/screensaver with whatever programs I had running
indicated in my tool bar at the bottom


can anyone shed some light on how to fix this?

Kim, go to Classic Control Panel>Power Options Icon. Click and select
Hibernate. Uncheck the Enable
Hibernation Box. Also you can change the values under Power Schemes and
Advanced tabs.
