Is there a way of having Outlook remember email addresses automatically when
I enter them in the "To" or "cc" fields please? I am sure my copy used to do
it.

I use "Contacts" as my address book.

Many thanks

Outlook's autocomplete feature uses a cache of previous recipients, not your
Contacts.

Thank you for the answer, but the autocomplete function does not seem to be
working or is working intermitently, is there an option I need to turn on
somewhere? If there is, I cannot find it.

It is enabled by default. If not, do so here:

Thanks for the info, the box was already ticked. It may be that I have not
entered many email addresses since having to wipe and reload everything on my
computer.

That's most likely. If you find that addresses to which you have sent still
do not appear, then you have a corrupt Outlook profile and will have to
create a new one.
