Automatic recurrence when editing an appointment.

When I edit an appointment, MS Outlook always sets up a recurrence without me
selecting this option. How do I stop this from happening?

New Dell? IF yes, then uninstall the outlookaddinsetup from Add/Remove
programs (Vista - Programs and Features)
