Hi

If you don't see any error messages, right click on My Computer, select
Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on Settings under Startup and
Recovery and disable 'Automatically restart'. Next time your PC reboots,
you should see a Blue Screen. Could you please post the Stop Code that
accompanies that BSOD back here? With that your problem could be isolated.

Run DXDiag and see if it complains of uncertified drivers; try lowering
graphics hardware acceleration, and, since your ALCXWDM.SYS error is
related to the sound card driver, lower the audio acceleration. If
lowering audio hardware acceleration prevents the crash, you need
updated drivers for the audio card. Look at the computer manufacturer
site and the graphics/sound card manufacturer sites for updated drivers.

See if there's a BIOS upgrade for your system. Look at the
manufacturer's site, Compaq, PB, etc., and also at the motherboard
manufacturer's site.
