Email messages are automatically going to the deleted item folder, instead of
staying in the inbox. There is only one rule set, and it ask for email to be
moved into a named folder other than the deleted items folder. There is
nothing else set, but emails are automatically going to the deleted items
folder. The emails that are being moved to the deleted items have nothing in
common.

I would remove the rule and see if it still happens. If it does not, then
recreate the rule and see if it happens after that.
