Forgive me as I'm new to Frontpage.
If I create a new page with just an image on it, how do I make the image
automatically resize to fit when viewed in a web browser window?
What I've done is made a new page and then gone to Insert then Image then
From File and inserted the picture.
Frontpage help tells me to right-click on the View Background and then do
some things, but I can't figure out what the View Background is.
Thanks.

The automatic resizing of an image is a browser function, nothing to do
with HTML - though you can use a <meta> tag to *stop* the automatic
resizing.

What is the exact phrase in Help, and what were you looking for? I have
no idea of what "right click on View Background" means.

Of course I can't find it in the wizard again.
I assumed that resizing the image was a function of the browser window, but
when I preview it in frontpage or open the new page from my files using an
internet explorer window, it doesn't automatically resize in the window.
Should it?

Oh, OK. I searched for "automatic window fit image" and the steps that I
mentioned comes up under "Customize Navigation View".

Under your Tools | Internet Options in IE you need to make sure the feature is enabled.

Alright. Duh. I should have just made my hypertext link to the image
instead of linking to a new page and inserting the image.
Thanks both of you for your help. I really appriciate it.

Navigation View has little to do with your individual web page. The
Background is any empty space in Navigation View, and resizing will make
all the boxes small enough to fit in (and make the box (page) labels
hard to read).
