I am on outlook 2007, and trying to confiure a "customized" view on my inbox
to show emails from a certain person ( my lovely wife) to be in red for as
long as the emails are in my inbox ( and the same for the SentBox as long as
i don't delete-
it's clear to me WHERE i go to do this ( the "Customize View:Messages"
Pop-upBox , the the Automatic Formatting Select button) and HOW to do this
(Select the From "contains" email address") but after i save, it does not
show the emails in red ( as yes i have clicked the box to enable this "rule")
Any ideas? Thanks!

On the Advanced tab in the criteria for the rule, use this:

To contains (E-Mail Removed)

And add it to the list. It should work that way.

Sorry, I just re-read your message and realized you may have already tried
what I suggested -- d'oh!! Did you put your criteria in the Advanced tab, or
did you put it somewhere else in the Advanced Formatting dialog? I tried it
from the Advanced tab and it worked fine. Of course I should have also said
"From" in my previous example instead of "To"...

So on the Automatic Formatting dialog, click the Clear All button, then
click the Advanced tab and use From contains (E-Mail Removed). Make
sure you use her whole e-mail address.
