I would like to know how to turn off the feature where I send a reply to an
e-mail and it copies that reply to my inbox automatically. It's really
annoying.

Thanks

Are you doing a reply or reply all?

It should never do that with a reply.
It will do it with a reply all, since, well, you're part of the 'all' the
message was sent to originally, however, that was changed in 2007 where
reply all does not include the sender.

No, I'm just doing a regular reply. The conversation is usually between me
and one other person.

What version of Outlook? If you look at the message you've sent in the Sent
Items, are you on the To line?
