Automatic deletion in InBox

I have two email accounts - In the IMAP account, after working well for bout
two weeks, suddenly - all of the emails that were in the inbox disappeared,
and each days incoming emails disappear after I turn off the computer unless
I move them to a specific folder. I have checked the purge setting, I am NOT
set up to auto archive at all, and cannot figure out what setting is causing
this to happen. If I leave the computer on and running, nothing happens -
only when I log out and turn off computer completely - GONE!
