Is there anyway to make the thing automatically block
suspicious files that are trying to install themselves?
When the thing pops up and asks you if you want to block or
allow, it's worse than a pop-up add. I'm studying & this
is f-ing up my concentration. Thanks.

actually pop-up ad is worse than seing those Microsoft
pop-alert.

for advance user they will definetly like it hands on
rather than automatic and for non tech savy they're
probably going for ease of use like automatic block or
quarantine.

there's no way to make MSAS automatically block
suspicious program installing itself, all you can do is
post what feature you would like to see on the final
version but there is no guarante that they will add
feature that MSAS user request but trying isn't going to
hurt anyway, just post what need to improve or what you
like to see on the final version.

If you are getting continuous, frequent, or even periodic--say, every time
you boot or connect to the Internet--alerts about things trying to
install--you have an active infection that hasn't been cleaned yet.

Spyware is not like true Internet worms, that are always out there ready to
infect in moments when a vulnerable system is connected without a firewall
in place.

These alerts mean that your system isn't clean yet.

As a start, I'd update defs on both antivirus and Microsoft Antispyware,
restart in safe mode, and scan with both until a scan comes through clean.

If the alerts persist after that, I'd go for downloading HijackThis, and
either posting the generated log in a spyware-related forum where such
analysis is done, or finding Ron Kinner's messages in these groups and
getting it to him via email.
