Hi all,

I went to an event at Microsoft some time ago and they demonstrated this new
feature in Dot net where and application can check on Startup for a newer
version of itself in a specific location or Web URL.

I am not sure what it was called and I am having trouble searching for
information on it.

My questions are:

1.. Can this be done for a Compact Framework 2.0 application over GPRS.
2.. Is there a simple tutorial on how to implement this. It does not have
to be for the CF2.0 even one for a standard app would be a good start.

Some details, I am using VS2005 CF2.0 C#

Thanks for your time,

ink

I think you are referring to ClickOnce which is not supported by the Compact
Framework. However see these article son writing an updater application:-

Hello iKiLL,

I'd recommed to look at "Mobile Software Factory" which is on the MS site.
If I don't mix, they provide required functionality
