Does anyone know how to add a button to the Quick Access Toolbar that will
allow you to add double underlining and blue (but not the default blue) to
your text? Or if there's another way to handle it other than a button that's
ok to. Trying to eliminate need to go deep into the color palette and choose
the blue we need each time. Have tried using macro feature but had
"security" issues. Thanks.

You can define a character style that includes double underlining and a
custom color. I'm not sure that you can add a button to the QAT for a style,
but you can certainly assign a keyboard shortcut to it.

Unfortunately, if you want a button for a specific style in Word 2007, you
will have to create a macro that applies the style, and then assign a button
to the macro. While this isn't difficult, it does require more work than
creating a (toolbar) button for a style in Word 97-2003.

That's why I recommended a keyboard shortcut. Or can character styles be
included among the Quick Styles?

Yes, character styles can be included in the Quick Styles list and the
default setting of the dialog is to do so.
