After hitting 'Save and Close" on inserting an address in contacts a box
popped up saying "always show this box when address is in unrecognisable
format" I ticked "Do not show this box again"

How do I reverse this so it does show me this help if address is wrong.

You should read the dialog box again. You can easily turn it on/off by
pressing the button with the type of address.
