I am backing up one PC to an external hard drive. PC is running XP
Professional SP2. Currently, I have a backup scheduled using NTBackup
on a nightly basis to back up data. I'd like to keep the nightly
backup, but upon completion of the backup, I'd like the PC to shut
down. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Depends how you scheduled the backup..
If a scheduled task running a script - make the last line of the script a
shutdown command.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.

I am using the Backup wizard in NTbackup to create the backup process
and the schedule.

I'm having exactly the same problem, I've set an auto matic backup schedule
using the setup in backup and I want the PC to shut down when it finishes
(Windows XP Pro SP2).
