Hello !

In an XPE application, I am using autologon. It is working perfectly until I
add the System Cloning Tool.
When the System Cloning Tool is added, I can deploy images to FLASH, but
when booting my image,
the "click user name" screen is displayed.

Why does autologon not work here ?

brgds

Carl,

Open your configuration in TD. Highlight the "System Cloning Tool"
component. In the right hand pane you will see the "advanced" button. Click
that. In the "Extended Properties" for the component you will see several
entries, one of which is "cmiRemoveUserSettings". Highlight, click edit,
change to false, click OK, click Close. There are other settings as well in
there for you to experiment with. There are also switches for fbreseal. (ex.
/keepall). Another important entry in the "Extended Properties" is
"cmiResealPhase". Set this to 0 to manually reseal the image after you have
configured it properly.

HTH,

Thank You for Your help

Where can I read about this. The TD Help does not tell anything about the
System Cloning Tool, neither does
Microsoft embedded pages ?

Sure, there's lots of help on System Cloning.

There's this KB Article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;810144 which
includes a link to a hotfix for the cloning tool.

And especially this Help content which is the same information in the help
files on your development machine:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...concloning.asp

Actually, initial TD (SP1) helps did not have much info on System Cloning Tool.
But XPe Platform Help did. So, open this file "\Program Files\Windows Embedded\help\xpehelp.chm" and type "Cloning" in search.

Also, install this QFE (XPe doc update for SP1):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en. And you will get more
info in TD help even about System Cloning.
