How do I get stimon.exe into startup so it is always
autoloaded? Without this activated I cannot use my
scanner properly.

Click START|ALL|ADMINISTRATIVE|SERVICES

Double-click Windows Image Acquisition and click the arrow to the right of
the box. Choose AUTOMATIC.
