autofill in Outlook won't work reliably

Even on a name I enter a lot It works on many names, but a few it doesn't work

When I type some names into a t\To: on a new email message, and the name is
definitely in my contacts list, and I've sent many emails to that person, it
will not autofill as I type. The name will fill itself when I go to send it,
but I have to type the full name out to get to that point

Confirm that you are using a version of Outlook that is even capable of
autocompletion and that has it configured correctly. You are confusing
autocompletion with autoresolution. Read up on the difference so you can
clarify your post:

Russ, the version of Outlook is: Office 2007 Pro, and I have checked the box
to allow autfill or autocompletion.

Since there is no such box, state which box you checked.
If you are certain that you have sent enough messages to have populated a
robust autocompletion cache, and that a valid match you are typing in the
To: field is not being found, then you will need to create a new profile.
