Thanks for the reply.
I am already copying the file but would like to learn if it can be copied automatically at start up. I had to perform a reinstall of XP. Before this I never had this problem and I am wondering why it is an issue now. Could it be due to a trojan horse infection after the reinstall which took some removing? The automatic deletion of that file might be caused by some type of malware.
