Windows XP out of the blue will not run 16 bit programs,
as instructed from a help guide I expanded autoexec.nt
and config.nt and command.com from my XP disk all re-
installed ok into my System32 folder, all programs then
worked ok, but when I shut down my machine and re start I
have lost the autoexec.nt file from my System32 folder.
After re installing all works again until I shut down, I
also switched off my System restore to stop the problem
to no avail, also my antivirus and trojan programs state
machine is clean. Everything works fine while machine is
running after shutting down I have to repeat the same.
Please is there any advise you could give me that might
fix this problem. Thank you.
