Autodesk ADT 2005 MSI woes for service running with interactive desktop

The Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2005 MSI attempts to run every time
one of my workstation's service applications interact with the desktop.
The Autodesk installer hangs until each of its network file access
attempts timeout. I understand that any application running under the
localsystem account does not have access to network resources. Does
anyone know how to prevent an installer from running against only the
localsystem account? Is there a way to "fake" the MSI service into
thinking that a user account has already been configured and installed?

Thanks in advance,
Clayton
