Autocorrect with numbering

Hi. I am trying to create a complex autocorrect that includes numbering. What
I am trying to get is this "Interrogatory No. 1." where the numbering
increments as this is inserted repeatedly in a document. The text should also
be bold, and centered.

Here is the issue. somehow we got it to work on one user's machine, but we
can not get it to duplicate on other machines. Whenever we go through the
process to insert it, either the numbering does not increment, or the number
format is entirely different. Also, the entry does not center even though it
is centered when viewed in the AC listing. and yes, we are selecting the
Formatted Text option.

Any tips or ideas would be great. it seems like the numbering tool in 07 is
a total mess. Unfortunatly knowing that doesnt get the work done.

It sounds to me as if you just need a numbered style rather than an
AutoCorrect entry.

no. a numbering style doesnt solve the problem, since this is all they want
displayed on that line. For example, it would look something like this

Interrogatory No. 1.

this is the first interrogatory and its related text...........

Interrogatory No. 2.

this would be the second interrogatory and its related text....

You see the problem? if I just use a custom numbering style, there is
nothing to type after the numbering so it doesnt stay on the page if I just
insert numbering and then hit enter. I tried making the numbering style and
just typing the period, but it auto indents and need to be changed manually
at the occurance, or in a multi-level list style. Either method is less
efficient than an autocorrect entry. and autotext is a joke in the new
system. it takes more time to insert autotext entries now than it does to
type most of them out. So how can I get the numbering to work in an
autocorrect?

The numbered style would still be easier All it requires is a space on the
line before pressing enter to set the line. Set the style to be followed by
the usual body text.

If you want autocorrect then save
Interrogatory No. { SEQ interr }
as an autocorrect entry use #int as trigger.
Note that SEQ fields may not display the correct number sequence until
updated (CTRL+A then F9)

If you define the numbering as being followed by "Nothing" instead of a tab
or space, you don't need to enter anything.
