When I create a new email message the auto correct works great. But when I
reply to a message the autocorrect does not work. Any suggestions on how to
correct this?

Thanks,
Tim

Are you using Word or Outlook as the email editor?
Does changing it make a difference?
Which message format are you using?

A common reason for this to happen is when you are typing in the signature
part instead of the message part. If you misspell a word, does it underline
the word? What do you see when you right click on that word?

In Tools->Option->Mail format:
Neither of teh boxes are checked for Word 2003 to be the editor /reader of
messages

In Tools->Options->Spelling:
The box is checked for "Use Autocorrect when word isn't the email editor."

I'm typing in the message body. No the mispelled words are not underlined.

When you use the Outlook editor autocorrect only works in plain text format,
not html.

Yes, I have this same problem. Auto correct is a great time saving feature
but at least half or more of emails I send are replies and it is stupid that
it does not work on replies. I don't use WORD as editor because there are
stupied limits with that as well. For example, the 'Insert Signature'
function is not available in WORD.

I did not see a solution to this so maybe we will have to ask MS Roady!

When using the outlook editor, the message format matters. It should work
on plain text messages.
