When I am selecting multiple files ( holding control + left mouse) I make
three selections-OK, I make the fourth selections, suddenly the computer is
generating copies in the same directory. Which is not what I want. I want
to move to;or copy to....
How can I shut off this annoying automatic feature?

This usually happens when you drag your mouse slightly while selecting. If
you have TweakUI, (free from MS), you can adjust the drag sensitivity of the
mouse to prevent this.
