Not true. Once you reach 1000 entries, it will start eliminating entries
with a FIFO algorithm.
Your problem indicates a corrupt autocompletion cache file or a corrupt
profile. Both can be corrected by creating a new profile, but all you
current cache will be lost.
If you want to try to retain your current cache, you'll need to use a third
party tool:
