I have AutoComplete turned on for User names and passwords
on forms. I deleted one item of the suggested user names
by highlighting it and pressing the delete key. Now I am
no longer prompted to save passwords. It is as if I had
turned off AutoComplete in the browser. I looked back at
the configuration and "Use AutoComplete for user names and
passwords" is checked and also "Prompt me to save
passwords" is checked.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I can't find
anything about it on Microsoft's site.

Thanks in advance

Larry,
A few things to try:
Uncheck "Prompt me to save..." restart, then check "Prompt me to save..."
Any change?

Next... clearing all passwords might reset the"Save Password" option. IE>
Tools> Options> Content>Autocomplete> Clear Passwords.

Protected Storage PassView from http://www.webattack.com/get/pspv.shtml will
help you recover other cached passwords *before* you clear all passwords.

Many more suggestions at
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/ans...#save_password

Hope this helps,
Don
