Am using Outlook 2007. I find that my archive folder contains deleted items
more than 1 year old though the setting has been to archive items older than
1 month. It has become 20 MB size though the outlook.pst is only 1MB in
size. Can you suggest why the older items are not being deleted from the
archive folder?

The archive file/folder 'is' your archive, in which the archive settings on
your Personal Folders are set to Archive to.
Are you saying you have archive options set on your archive, and are these
set to Archive to a seperate named Archive file?
(The default name for the first archive file is Archive.pst)

Thanks DL for your reply. The settings are not for the archive folder but
for AutoArchive. However, there must be a provision for messages beyond a
certain date to be purged from the Archive folder. I want to know how to set
those settings.
