I am trying to autoarchive in Outlook 2003.

Help tells me to :

"On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Other tab, and click AutoArchive.
If the Run AutoArchive every check box is selected, AutoArchive is active."

but when I click on the other tab the only options I can see are

General
Navigation pane options
Advanced options - it's not in there

Reading pane

Person names

enable person names smart tag
display messenger status in the from field

Similarly if I right click a folder and choose properties the only tabs I
see are
Forms
Permissions
Synchronisation
General
Home Page
Administration

Help suggests that I should be able to see an autoarchive tab

Can anyone help please?

Told you it was a challenge!

Is the ability to create personal folder files (.PST) files also disabled?
If yes, then this is expected behavior if your corporate admininstrators
have used a group policy to remove the ability to create/use .PST files.
While I can tell you what to remove/delete from the registry, you really
should work back thru your corporate IT guys to reverse the setting.

/neo

PS - Google DisablePST

I can actually create pst files and I can choose file archive but can't set
the auto archive so it sounds like I need to speak to our helpdesk.
Thanks.

Hello

Please could you let me know how to reinstate the "AutoArchive" option, I
can edit the registry and can create PST files. Many thanks in advance. Ross
