Dnld. & Instld. 925672 & KB927978. Instl. successful, but Update Icon
re-appeared in Sys Tray with the same updates. Tried 2 more times with same
results.
Would someone please tell me how to fix this problem, or how to delete the
icon from Systray?

I assume you mean you downloaded and installed those two updates. Take a
look at this link: http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/needagain.htm

Otherwise post to the windows update newsgroup. That's where the experts
for windows update are.
