Hi

I'm new to XP and when I first ran it I turned off the Auto Update feature.

I've reactivated it now (I think) but I'm sure I've seen on other machines a
little icon on the taskbar, advising when updates become available. How do I
re-enable this feature?

Thanks in advance.

Nik.

Go to Control Panel, System. When that comes up go to the Automatic
Updates tab. There you can set options on how you want the auto update
feature to work.

Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
Click the Automatic Updates tab. Under Settings, click Notify me
before downloading any updates and notify me again before
installing them on my computer, and then click OK
