Hi

In the process of removing a trojan I accidentally managed to get rid
of msdn-nt.exe from my Windows directory.

Now, in services, Auto Update is permanently disabled and cannot be
reenabled.

wuauserv is also failing to start up.

I tried reinstalling SP4 but it aborted half way through.

Would anyone be able to offer me some advice please?

Thanks

Emma.

AFAIK that isn't a "windows" EXE and you don't want it. These articles may
help.

Be sure to apply SP4 and these two below to your repair install before
connecting to any network. Internet included. (sasser, msblast)
