For the last 2 or 3 weeks I have repeatedly gotten the following:

"Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)"

I allowed it to download and install.

Why does it continue to notify me its available and go thru download and install???

Hi

Most likely the MDAC version is to old on the computer so the patch
will not install.

This security update requires that you have any one of the following
MDAC versions installed:

MDAC 2.5 Service Pack 2
MDAC 2.5 Service Pack 3
MDAC 2.6 Service Pack 2
MDAC 2.7
MDAC 2.7 Service Pack 1
MDAC 2.7 Service Pack 1 Refresh
MDAC 2.8

I suggest you upgrade to MDAC 2.8 and see if it solves the problem,
