I wonder if anyone could advise me of the technique for using auto
thumbnail.

I get the picture to scale up fine. But then how do I provide
navigation back to the other pages - or am I to rely on the web site
visitor - clicking back on the browser.

Pete.

If you link directly to the images file then visitors need to hit their back
browser. You need to create a page with the image inserted into it if you
want to control the navigation back to your other pages.

to create auto thumbnail, insert full size pic, then right click and select Auto
Thumbnail.
