When i am starting a new email and i go to enter the name of the recipient in
the TO: box - i enter the first letter and a bunch of names i have used in
the past come up (auto text is the only thing i can assume it is called).

How do you go about removing some of these addresses that automatuically
come up if you no longer want them>?

It's called AutoSuggest ;-)

To remove an address from there, simply highlight it by using your arrow
keys and press Delete on your keyboard.
