Auto Spell & Hyperlinks don't work anymore

I have Outlook 2003, Windows XP Home, and IE 7.0.5730.13. Auto Spell before
sending e-mail no longer works. All Hyperlinks in e-mail automatically go to
my default home page. I have tried going into IE - tools - internet options
- programs but there isn't a "reset web settings options", and I don't know
if there was it would correct these issues. I received a couple of IE
updates in the past week or so, and that's when the problem started. It's a
real paid to open up Notepad to try and find the hyperlink to copy and paste
into IE.
Help!
Thanks Moira

In IE's tools, internet options, advanced tab - at the very bottom is a
reset button.

Does F7 spell check?

Diane, I found it and reset everything. Restarted computer and hyperlinks
still do not work . . . any one I click on automatically goes to my home
page. When I go to send the email the message I get is "The Spell Check was
unsuccessful. Do you want to send anyway?". If a word is misspelled its
underlined in red and the F7 works.

It's on the Advanced tab in IE7

Brian:
As per my previous post to Diane, I did find the reset, did it, restarted my
computer and everything's the same. F7 works, auto spell check doesn't and
neither do the hyperlinks.

Go to this site and run the Fix.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823301

It worked perfectly for me (I used the 'Fix it for me' option).

The original poster from Nov 2008, did not report the restrictions error or
that nothing happens - they said IE goes to their home page and spell check
didn't work. Who knows what Graham's real problem was - he never said he had
the exact same problems as the person a year earlier.
