I'm working in PP '03, and I can't get slides to advance with timings. I've
already checked under set up slide show and used the "use timings, if
present" option, and I've set a timer on the first slide (currently all I'm
working with, just the one slide right now) and it doesn't do a thing after
that time passes.

What I'm trying to accomplish, if it helps, is a montage of pictures as a
song is playing, I also have the lyrics appearing as they are sung. I have
the first slide timed fine, the words and pictures show up when they're
supposed to, but I just can't get to the next slide after a certain amount of
time, which would be when the next lines are sung I need those words to show
up with a new slideful of pictures. But I can't get it to go past the first
slide.

I believe you have either answered your own question or have not made the
problem clear.

If you have only _one_ slide in the presentation file, there is nothing to
advance to once the allocated time has advanced. In order for slide timings
to be effective there must be at least _two_ slides.

What am I missing? |:>)

Ah, I was a bit unclear. I have a second blank slide, but I haven't done
anything to it yet. Sorry about that.

Well, that didn't technically address the problem directly, however, using
that music span program did allow my timings to actually advance the slide. I
don't know why that did it, but hey, it works, and I'm not complainin. Thanks.
