Outlook 2003, using Word 2003 as the email editor, in a Exchange2003
environment.
A handful of users are experiencing problems with their autosigniture.
It is set to use Arial, 10pt text.
However, any items that I insert in bold text appear on the clients in Times
New Roman.
On one machine, the email address actually changes colour to bright green,
despite being entered in black text.
Troubleshooting and findings:
Start>Run>outlook.exe /cleanviews - bold still appears in Times New Roman
Start>Run>outlook.exe /safe - This fixes the problem
I restarted Outlook in "Standard" mode and removed Word 2003 as the editor -
this also fixes the problem.
At this stage, I hear you shout "Just use Outlook as editor" however this
would mean some users can use word others cant, a situation I would rather
avoid.
I hope I have provided enough information.
My thanks to Chace Zang who has provided some preliminary troubleshooting,
and pointed me in the direction of the newsgroups to get this investigated.
