I am sure I asked this before, but I forgot and cannot find the answer.
With Thunderbird, the addresses of all persons I send to are saved in a
folder called Collected Addresses. I would like to do this in O2007.

Not natively. Outlook has never done that AFAIK. You will need some sort
of third-party add-in...

Search Google Groups for posts you made earlier.

Hey, not my fault you didn't pick a unique moniker that would limit the
results to just your own posts. Maybe it's one of these by adding
outlook and addresses to the search criteria:

http://groups.google.com/groups/sear...rch=&scoring=d

You wasted the time of respondents in your last post of *5 MONTHS AGO*
because you didn't bother to actually do anything regarding their
suggestions. Why would we waste time again to re-investigate solutions
when you aren't going to do anything with them?

I did look back, but all I could find is an argument between you and
another guy about what I wanted. I gave up.
I don't want to add senders to my contacts! I don't want to add them to a
white list!
Please add me to your bozo bin and leave others to give an answer to my
question.

Yeah, you "gave up" before rather than looking at the possible
solutions. You didn't like the solutions offered over 5 months ago.
You didn't like the solutions offered 1 month ago. And now you're
asking again which means you are too lazy to go find other solutions.
So you'll give up here again, too. You don't want the senders in a
separate whitelist (that can be exported and then imported into whatever
folder you want). You don't want the senders in your contacts. Guess
you want them floating in the air around your monitor to pick them from
there.

See you in another 1-5 months when you ask the same question again.

Apologies all round.
I found the solution suggested here about adding to the safe senders list.
I expect I'll forget again.
Exits blushing.....

Adding senders to the Safe Senders list is NOT the same as adding
senders automatically to Contacts...

I know that, but otherwise I would just fill up my Contacts folder with
people I only email once a year.
