All of a sudden my auto run has decided not to run. I have two drives
and they both won't run automatically when I put a installation disk in.
I fiddled with the settings under properties for both drives and no workie!

Download and install TweaUI from the Microsoft site. It lets you set your
autorun options.

Windows XP Autoplay Repairing Tutorial


Autoplay requires the Shell Hardware Detection service, make sure
it's set to automatic and is running. To access Services, open the
Run box and enter: %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s

designed to run may not run if you are logged on to Windows XP as
a user without either Power User or Administrator rights.

setup information files. As a result, the Autorun.inf file does not
run if you do not have Power User or Administrator rights.

Tried everything that was suggested in the three replies. Only thing
that worked was a small program by the name of "AutoFix.exe" from
Microsoft. All is good.
As a side note: After installing Tweakui from Microsoft and installing
it; how does one run it. Couldn't even find it on my computer; let
alone; run it!

The old version of TweakUI created an icon in the Control Panel. The new
version, called TweakUIPowerToy, is visible via Start / All Programs.
