Two questions:

1. Is there a way that in a powerpoint show I can leave a slide to replay
itself in an infinite loop till I click the mouse? Thus I have a slide full
of animations, I would like to play all the animations (easy to program via
custom animation); but once all animation is completed then I would like to
re-start all the animations of the slide. And this continues for an
indefinite period till I hit the mouse.

any way to achieve this easily?

2. Where can I find good tutorials to integrate activex controls in my
presentations?

Many thanks.

It is possible but it will sound more complicated than it is:
1. Set up the animations on slide 1
2. Give this slide an auto transition zero secs
3. Create a custom show with just this slide (slide show >custom shows . new)
4. Add an action button to hyperlink to "slide 2" (not next)
5. In slide show > setup show choose 'loop till esc' and Show Slides >
custom show
Play and click the action button to move on

yes, this does the trick. Thanks.

Another question on the fly: if I have an action button during a slide show
that invokes a macro module, then is there some way within the macro that I
can trap the clicking of the mouse or pressing of the ESC key?

Many thanks.

Sorry - I don't understand.

Maybe start with exactly what you need to achieve
